We begin with an inventory: hanging lengths, folded stacks, shoes by pair, the things that need a drawer and the things that need air. The room is planned from that list, so nothing is stored in the wrong place for the next twenty years.
Interiors are cedar or oak, drawers are leather-lined, and lighting comes on as the door opens. Mirrors are full-height and set into the panelling.
